The Do Dham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage covering two of the most revered Hindu temples—Kedarnath and Badrinath. Nestled in the Himalayas, these shrines hold immense religious significance. Itinerary
Day 1 :
Day 1: Haridwar/Dehradun to Guptkashi
depart from Haridwar and drive towards Phata. The journey includes stops at Devprayag, where
the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet, and Rudraprayag. You will also visit the Dhari Devi Temple,
Augustmuni Caves, and the Guptkashi Ardhnareshwar Temple. After a scenic drive, you will reach Phata
for an overnight stay.
Day 2 :
Phata to Sonprayag to Kedarnat
drive early in the morning to Sonprayag, where you will transfer to Gaurikund via local union
cabs. From there, embark on the 14 km trek to Kedarnath. Pilgrims can choose to walk or hire a pony,
horse, or palki for the trek. Upon arrival at Kedarnath, attend the evening aarti at the Kedarnath Temple.
You will spend the night in guesthouses or tents near the temple.
Day 3 :
Kedarnath to Gaurikund to Phata
begin the day with an early morning visit to the Kedarnath Temple and Bhairav Temple.
Afterward, trek back to Gaurikund and then drive to Phata. You will spend the night in Phata, relaxing
after the long trek.
Day 4 :
Phata to Joshimath
drive from Phata to Joshimath, making stops at Rudraprayag to witness the holy confluence of
the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, and visit Narsingh Temple. You will also visit Vishnuprayag and the
Yogdhyan Badri Temple at Pandukeshwar. Arrive in Joshimath and check into a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5 :
Joshimath to Badrinath to Mana Village to Joshimath
travel to Badrinath to visit the famous Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. After the
temple visit, proceed to Mana Village, the last village before the Indo-Tibetan border. Explore the village
and visit significant landmarks such as Ganesh Gufa, Vyas Gufa, Bheem Pul, Saraswati Temple, and the
Saraswati River. Return to Joshimath in the evening and spend the night there
Day 6 :
Joshimath to Rishikesh
begin your journey back to Rishikesh. On the way, make a stop at the revered Dhari Devi Temple
and the confluence at Devprayag. Witness where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge to form the
Ganga. Arrive in Rishikesh by evening, and attend the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, another mesmerizing
spiritual experience. Check into a hotel for an overnight stay
